Landa Associates have landed a prestigious property management instruction in one of the East Midlands’ most desirable villages, and wasted no time in securing a tasty new tenant for the site in the shape of Kilo Wine Bar, an offshoot of local wine wholesale business Kilo Wines.
Landa Associates were handed the brief to manage 10-12 High Street in Quorn, Leicestershire, by highly regarded local landlord Lucy Harling.
Previously occupied by Charnia Kitchen, the characterful three-storey building has capacity for a 50-seater restaurant on the ground floor and includes self-contained residential accommodation on the upper floors.
The attractive property spans almost 4,000 sq ft in total and features cavity blockwork and brick construction under a pitched roof.
The affluent village of Quorn, near Loughborough, dates back to the 16th century and boasts an impressive array of eateries and pubs on its High Street – an offering which has now expanded with the addition of a new hybrid wine bar and shop.
Kilo Wine Bar has taken a new 10-year lease of the whole site where it provides a range of liquid refreshments alongside a selection of breakfast, light lunch, and antipasti style offerings into the evening. It is the latest venture by Kilo Wines, which is owned by successful entrepreneur Nick Robinson.
Nick and his wife Rebecca have refurbished the premises to a high standard to create a modern stylish wine bar and shop complete with an outdoor beer garden.
Landa Associates director Sunny Landa, who completed the off-market letting to Kilo Wine Bar on behalf of the Harling family, said: “This is a stunning property in one of the region’s most sought-after locations. To be instructed by the Harling family, who are well-known and highly respected landlords in the area, is a true privilege and a real testament to our unique capabilities as a company.
“Lucy is fantastic to work with and I was delighted to be able to secure this letting off-market and in double-quick time.
“Congratulations and best of luck to Nick and Rebecca on the opening of the wine bar. I have no doubt it will prosper for many many years to come.”
Lucy Harling, owner of 10-12 High Street, Quorn, said: “We would like to offer our sincere gratitude to Sunny for taking on the management of this property. We’re delighted with the outcome and welcome Nick & Rebecca and their great team to the building. I look forward to continuing our association with such consummate professionals.”
Nick and Rebecca, Kilo Wine Bar owners and residents in the village, said: “We are excited about our new business, and hope we can create a slightly different type of venue for the village. We don’t class ourselves as a restaurant, but more a place to come and eat, drink and socialise with friends in a cosy stylish atmosphere. We are open 7 days a week from 9 am until late for both in house food and drinks, takeaway, and retail wine sales. We look forward to welcoming you.”
