Landa Associates were appointed as asset managers for the Wheatley Group’s commercial property portfolio almost exactly twelve months ago. Needless to say, it’s been a fantastic year working with one of the East Midlands’ foremost commercial property companies. Now we can happily reveal the latest letting Landa Associates has completed on behalf of the group.

 

Shoppers in Kirkby-in-Ashfield will no doubt be familiar with the Morrisons Daily convenience store on Kingsway. We’re pleased to report that this store will remain in situ as part of the Wheatley Group’s quasi retail site in the town thanks to the efforts of Sunny Landa, who has successfully brokered a brand new 10-year unbroken term with Morrisons at £35,000 per annum.

 

Sunny brought his extensive negotiating experience to the table to secure the best possible deal for the client, acting strategically to tie the supermarket down to the decade-long term. He said: “It was great to complete this letting on behalf of our valued clients, the Wheatley Group. We have been advising our clients on strategy since taking on the management of their estate and we have really turned things around. The rents we are now achieving throughout the portfolio are superb and the deal with Morrisons is an example of the high calibre work we are doing. Most retailers would usually seek a break after five years so it was particularly pleasing to broker a ten-year deal.”
